The Hickman Humane Society has been very successful lately adopting out strays that have come to us. We have utilized various resources, the newspaper, Pet Patrol, our contact with Great Dog Rescue of New England, Petfinder.com, and breed rescue groups to help us find wonderful homes for these little friends. Thanks to all the work by the volunteers that help support the Humane Society and especially to the foster families that commit to taking care of an animal until a forever home can be found. Being a foster "parent" can be a very rewarding experience. Please consider being a foster "parent", since we don't have a much needed shelter, it is the best we can do for now.
